Success life tips– How to plan your future
There are many publications on the web about the importance of family budget planning, childbirth, and career. We are reading articles, sometimes drawing interesting ideas from them, but life is not changing in general. Someone hasn’t paid loans, somebody doesn’t raise money on the iPad, and somebody can’t move from place to work for five years: the salary doesn’t grow, the duties are a bit old. The issue isn’t the lack of willpower, we don’t know how to plan for success more often.
Those who plan a day, a career, a budget are better than those who go with the flow. They see a clear goal, a desired outcome, and a plan for achieving it. They are willing to carry out systematic actions, track progress, and can rejoice even in small successes.

Success Magazine conducted student research at Yale University in 1953. It turned out that only 13% of them set goals and only 3% of the total number formulated them in writing. Twenty-five years later, the researchers spoke to the respondents. Those in their first year who had clear goals earned on average twice as much as the rest of the respondents. And those who wrote down their goals and developed a strategy to accomplish them, got 10 times more. Statistics that are inspiring, right?
WHAT IS NEEDED IN ORDER TO LEARN HOW TO PLAN AND ACHIEVE?
- Think about how in a few years you’d like to see your life. What matters to you? In what area would you like to achieve something or realize yourself?
- The objective must be clearly stated: concrete, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound.
- Make an action plan and proceed with its implementation within 72 hours, checking the written content on a regular basis.
- Did you do all you need to fulfill your first intermediate goal? Look back and praise the success of yourself.
HOW IT WORKS IN PRACTICE
From the school, my planning skill started to develop: first a diary, then a diary, then a smartphone app, coaching tools. Today I:
- I set goals and draw up a quarterly plan to achieve them for 10 years;
- I plan my year in December or in January, and I include in it time for hobbies, traveling, training, and so on. This is very helpful in drawing up a budget for each activity;
